Description

The "nipple" is countersunk; the incised ornament is simple, consisting mainly of circular bands parallel to the circumference of the shield. Near the recurved rim the hide is pierced at six points to receive loops of thong; cf. AF2868, AF2869. The shield was received with the attribution: "Ogedan (sai), Somali"
