Description

Man's sash. Red cotton with two, compound, green and yellow, lengthwise stripes. Ends brocaded in bands of geometric patterns in green and purple silk. Ends fringed.

As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 50 epi, two singles, Z twist, red cotton. Weft: 20 ppi, four singles, Z twist, red cotton. Warp predominantly plain weave. Supplementary weft is two faced. Woven on a backstrap loom."
