Description | Man's sash. Red cotton with two, compound, green and yellow, lengthwise stripes. Ends brocaded in bands of geometric patterns in green and purple silk. Ends fringed. As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 50 epi, two singles, Z twist, red cotton. Weft: 20 ppi, four singles, Z twist, red cotton. Warp predominantly plain weave. Supplementary weft is two faced. Woven on a backstrap loom." |
