Description | On the top of the body, directly below the spout is a semi-recumbent woman, fully dressed, right hand on breast, left arm extended holding a chest. Egg patterns around rim of top. Ivy leaf garland, white leaves, incised stems, encircles wall of bottom. Intact save for a chip of bottom edge. Good black glaze. Fine grained buff clay. A large and a smaller M painted on underside. |
