Description | Libation cover; fragmentary - proper left edge missing. Latin inscription -5 lines- on proper right. Circular depressed bowl at proper left. Six holes drilled through the bowl to reverse. Circular inscribed border around bowl. Reads: D (m) CORNELIA FE(cit) CRES(centi) BENEM. Translation: To the divine shades. Cornelia made (this monument) to Crescens, well-deserving. |
