Description | Ovoid urn inscribed with Etruscan name of Petrui (wife of Telmus see MS3428). Coarse, gritty, red ware with thin walls. left wheel-finished. Base flat, body ovoid but opening directly into wide mouth with short flaring rim and downward everted lip, bevelled on outer toip. Inscr. scratched after firing on "shoulder," retrograde. Impression of textile. |
