Description | Low foot and low, thick stem. Shallow receptacle with definite articulation between it and relatively broad rim. Rim has nearly vertical overhang. Glazed: edge of foot; band on underside of dish; overhang of rim; and glazed decoration of top surfaces. In center of top is a very sketchy female head facing left. On top of rim is a wave pattern with 5 crests. Intact save for bit of edge of foot. Stacking has evidently caused the details of the head and the area just outside the face profile to turn red. |
