A champion of indigenous Maya issues in southern Belize, Dr. Coc helped push through the decision by the Supreme Court of Belize to uphold the land tenure rights of traditional villages. And, in this lecture discusses the cultural heritage, of the maya people, and the struggles this heritage places them in, in modern South America.
