Meet professionals, get hands-on experience in STEAM focused workshops, and access resources at the Penn Museum.

The Center for the Analysis of Archaeological Materials (CAAM) invites 11th and 12th graders to spend a day at the Penn Museum investigating ancient ceramic and metal crafts. In this hands-on program, we will focus on the many materials and techniques used in mold making. You will then use that knowledge to create your own artifacts. In doing so, you will join researchers in Archaeological Science in their work to understand and reconstruct these materials and technologies and better know the lives and cultures of our ancestors.
